Ledbury Hunt Puppy Show

Our young hounds were judged this year by Otis Ferry (MFH South Shropshire) and Ian Mckie (MFH College Valley/North Northumberland). There were 3 couple of dog hounds and 6.1/2 couple of bitches.

Judging the best dog hound against the best bitch resulted in the Nimrod Champion Memorial Trophy going to Mrs W May for walking Muffler. This hound's full brother Mutiny walked by Mrs N Stephens was placed as Reserve Champion.
The best working dog hound from the 2007 entry was Bruiser walked by Mrs W May. The prize for the best working bitch went to Mr Donald Haden who walked Gospel.
The Hound Sponsors Tankard went to Hearsay '04 sponsored by the Lancashire family in Redmarley. She is from a litter of 8 bitches that all hunt extremely well.
After the judging had been completed the Chairman made a short speech thanking our retiring Joint Master Tom Leeke for all his hard work and contribution to the mastership for a period of 3 seasons and in particular for his excellent and very popular running of the Monday Country.
After tea all the older hounds were brought out for everyone to admire - and what wonderful condition they were in - a great credit to the Joint Masters and of course in particular to the hunt staff for all their effort and hard work.
