Herefordshire Country Fair 2008

A team from Ledbury Hunt (The Ledbury Leftovers) was entered into the Inter Hunt Relay to defend our title won last year.  Our Team members were Pete Finch, Hazel Finch, Anna Bird and Emma Williams.  We had a lot of fun filling in our entry form so the commentator (Richard Leeke) could let the crowd know who we were.  Our occupations included Lap Dancer, International Woman of Mystery, Bingo Caller (ask Hazel for an explanation) and The Stig - you can have fun working out who is who!!

There were seven teams entered so we had to "race" against the clock to gain a place in the semi-final.  We managed to get into the semi and romped home against the Cotswold Vale Farmers to win a place in the final.  We competed against Monmouth Hunt (The Monmouth Misfits) in the final and although we were by far the fastest team we unfortunately had 15 seconds added to our time as penalties for knocking down three poles, this meant that The Monmouth beat us by 3 seconds!!!!!!!!!

The Inter Hunt Relay is run in the main ring as an attraction the prize money is well worth winning our team won £75 for second place, it was donated back to the Supporters Club.  Some of the Hunts entered more that one team, so with this in mind if there is anyone out there that would like to be asked to be a member of a team for next year please can you contact Colette Finch/Helen Smith for more info.
