The Ledbury lads have all had a good season on the point-to-point circuit. Charlie Bishop on his new pony Josie won at Larkhill and also had two seconds. Charlie also picked up some rides for other people taking him all over the country. Charlie is now taking part in the Charles Owen Series and has had a second on Josie and a winner for a Newmarket trainer. He is hoping to get enough points to take place in the final at Cheltenham in October.
Jamie Brace has had an enjoyable season on his new pony Moorhall Topcat, with his best run being a second at Andoversford behind Charlie Jones.
Charlie Jones had a great day at Cheltenham Pony Club race day on his pony Colorado, getting a flyer of a start that even surprised his dad!! Unfortunately Charlie was just beaten into second place but he did get a win at Andoversford.
Stan Sheppard was lucky enough to have two ponies to ride – one that was good and one that was useless! Stan had two wins on his pony Balfour Ladybird and some places. Charlie Jones and Stan Sheppard are going to the Royal Show with their ponies to take part in a pony racing demonstration on Thursday 9th July.
