Ms Sue Peckham collected The Mrs Ian Bullough Cup for walking Mason, the best Working Doghound entered in 2008 and Mrs Jeynes again was presented with the magnificent Captain H A Silver Tray for walking Memory the best Working Bitch.

The Hound Sponsors Silver Tankard for the best working hound from the whole pack was presented this year to Mrs Sarah Anslow who sponsored Satin ' 06, a bitch she had helped to walk. The Masters were not able to show this hound as she had only a few hours earlier given birth to a litter of 14 whelps!

Thanks to the generosity of the family of the late Mr Philip Warner we were able to present in his memory a new trophy this year to the person who had kept a puppy for the longest time. This went to one of our most supportive puppy walkers, Mrs George Young.

After the judging Nigel Peel made a short speech saying what a lovely quality new entry we had this year. He was followed by Archie Smith Maxwell on behalf of the Members of the Hunt, presenting to our retiring Joint Master Tim Lewin a magnificent painting depicting Tim on his favourite grey horse.

After tea our huntsman John Holliday brought out all the older hounds for everyone to admire and how wonderful they looked. Those present were then able to view and admire the magnificently refurbished hound yards and associated areas.

Finally our longest serving Joint Master David Redvers was able to announce that through the tremendous generosity of those present he had been able today to raise sufficient new funds to cover the whole cost of replacing all fifteen sets of doors and frames in our stable yard.

Everyone agreed that this had been a most enjoyable and well-organised day and we can all look forward confidently to the coming season knowing what a splendid team of people we have managing all aspects of the Hunt.
